Yep, I know you’ve said this before and it’s been proven not to work by every Administration since Reagan that’s cut taxes. It doesn’t flipping work.
What we need to do is readjust the tax brackets, and if some billionaire uses their stock to secure loan, it gets taxed the value that it is being used to secure. I don’t care if you do or don’t sell it you’re utilizing it for a financial reason.
Corporate tax needs to get bumped up as well and honestly, if companies get to take away expenditures before they’re taxed, we should get to do it at home. All of our utilities, some portion of food up to a maximum, and maybe even our transportation cost should all be excluded before the taxes are calculated.

It infuriates me that they attacked you, but it’s no surprise. I am sorry that happened to you. They are deplorable. I appreciate your intelligence, humor, and hope. You help me understand the economy. I talk about your posts with family and friends, and I usually repost them. Keep going Katherine, I believe in you.
Ms Edwards, Just a quick comment to say I read all your posts all the way through. And I’m not educated in finance, accounting or economics. So, please keep writing - your posts are the closest I come to gaining any real insight into this massive U.S. economy that I am a part of!

I am a retired Boomer, (that's right, I capitalized it, it's not a dirty word!) in northern Delaware, and lead a group from my church fighting for justice, and we hear you. Freedom from poverty and homelessness IS justice, and your thoughts on economics are important to that work. Thanks for all that you do, we are watching your TikToks, hearing your congressional testimony, and reading your substack. Keep going!
So grateful for you and your ability to explain complex economics in ways I can understand. This in turn allows me to advocate and share in turn (even if only with family and friends) and helps me be a more informed voter.
