Can I nominate you for Queen of the Resistance? I’ve read everything in sight on Elon’s illegal takeover but this is the one of the best takes so far. Calling all my reps but will add attention to the Oversight Committee.
Meanwhile, some of us are already looking at losing everything. With the dismantling of SBA programs, like 8A and small business designated contracts, my wife’s business could be lost within the week. She employs 140 people across the country and manages millions of dollars in government funding to prevent pollution, protect wildlife, and even return the bodies of stolen Indian children to their tribes after they died in orphanages. This is about a small number of people gaining wealth.
Thank you for speaking on this accurately. The public thinks federal employees do nothing. The media thinks it’s just come to the office or take a buy out.
Is there some kind of economic "strategy" (cruel and punitive) that massive job cuts and increased unemployed people will help reduce inflation or affect the market in a way that favors those making the layoffs?
I think this is a good question and relates to the actual potential constitutional crisis that is keeping me up. That is, the executive "decides" the workers' union is "invalid," it goes to the courts because workers sue, the courts (even!) decide for the workers and the administration just decides it won't abide by the court's ruling.

Queen of the Resistance?! Oh wow, I am truly blushing.

Thank you for sharing, I am very sorry to her about your experience. They are grabbing for power over ensuring the economic security of Americans.
This encouraged me to call my congressional rep (again) now that I know she’s on the House Oversight Committee!
Oh yes I love to hear this!!!
right - same! i was just at ron johnsons office yesterday not knowing this about him - his staff were very unconcerned about what musk was up to -
Your voice is your power!

And all of the offices the GSA let go to save money isn't even factored in to the equation!

Here’s the wired article (it’s behind a paywall unfortunately) - https://www.wired.com/story/edward-coristine-tesla-sexy-path-networks-doge/

Thank you Kathryn for the clear-headed, actionable advice. You’re a gem. 👏
A gem!? I'm blushing.
Thank you. I've contacted my senators & attorney general. I'm in TX but refuse to be silent.
Don't be!
What if they just overturn the right of workers to have a union?

I think this is one of their plans. Challenge unions. Take it to court. Overturn workers rights to collective bargaining.
I think this is one of the reasons the billionaires have fallen in line behind Trump.
Dismantle workers rights.
Also, once Russell Vought is confirmed to head to the Office Management and Budget not sure it will matter.
Can you explain how Musk’s actions can be undone in minutes?
Congress has a lot of power over federal agencies--hearings, investigations, subpoenas, orders, oversight.
