In the days after the election, I wrote on this substack, Kedits, a message I also gave in a video posted to TikTok and Insta: However upset people are about the economy, it’s unlikely they’ll get policies that actually address their problems for the next four years.
That’s the opening. Trump can’t recreate the past, so let’s build a future. He has problems, so let’s focus on solutions.
The response was overwhelming. So many people reached out on every platform to say that this optimism, this path forward, was what they needed to hear. And [checks watch, taps foot, clears throat] what exactly are those solutions and when will I share them?!
I promise: Every policy solution I bring up, I’ll share widely on every platform. I don’t think they’ll have any order, just as they come to me or as the news makes relevant. I’ll try to cite what I know and be as accurate as possible to present them honestly. You aren’t supposed to agree with everything I say and propose, but hopefully you’ll feel like policy is possible.
But I wanted to bring you, (paid) reader, into a separate space. I’ve been approached about writing a book about these ideas, compiling them into a single volume. It’s a long way from a done deal, but I like the challenge of going for it. And I think whatever I write would be better if I had feedback along the way about the big picture, and how it all fits together. I’ll start writing paid-only posts to pitch my ideas to you about that.
Starting here.
